Sugar was rescued from life on a chain. We paid to send her to a training school for 3 classes up north. There was a Shepherd puppy and when the owner came to pick up up the dog was in bad health, with a broken tooth, cut in the jaw, and 17 pounds underweight.
NNHS decided to bring Sugar home and when she arrived we were horrified. The same types of injuries, weight loss, and she was terrified. The kennels were pure filth and the Sheriff removed all the dogs and charged and closed the school.
Sugar is now a beautiful chocolate Brindle Boxer/pit mix. How can anyone starve, abuse, and lock dogs into filth and waste? We are grateful that we had a wonderful neighbor who could travel and pick her up. Sugar needs someone to show her love and attention and let her know that people do care.
